1. What towns are eligible?
KBMF currently offers the youth of Killingly and Brooklyn an opportunity to participate in football and Cheer. **No new registrations from Putnam, Woodstock, Pomfret, Eastford or Thompson.
2. When do practices begin?
Practices usually begin around the first week of August.
3. When are practices ?
Practices for football and Cheer are generally run between 5:00-8:00pm. This will vary depending on the coach's schedule and availability.
4. How many days per week is practice ?
Flag/Ladybug: 2 practices per week (typically one hour)
Tackle/Cheer: Football is 5 days per week while cheer is 4 days a week in August once school starts all teams drop to 3 days per week, per your head coach.
5. When are games?
Generally, we have 8-10 games held on Saturday and Sundays. Flag games are held typically on Saturdays.
6. What equipment is provided and/or needed?
KBMF will provide the following:
For football- helmet, shoulder pads, practice/game jersey and pants and mouth guards. You are responsible for your own cleats.
For cheer- shell and skirt. You are responsible for bodysuit, bow, bloomers, and white cheer sneakers.
7. How are teams organized?
Football is organized by age while cheer is determined by grade. Flag you must be 5 by Sept 1. Tackle age is determined by age as of June 1.

Football:
Flag- 5-6 yrs old (must be 5 by Sept 1 or started kindergarten)
Peewee- 6-7 yrs old
Micro- 8-9 yrs old
JR- 10-11 yrs old
SR-12-14 yrs old
Cheer:
Ladybugs- new athletes K-1 grade
Mini returning athlete 1st-2 grade
Micro 3-4 grade
JR 5-6 grade
SR 7-8 grade
8. Do I have to fundraise and/or volunteer?
At KBMF fundraising is an integral part of our organization. In efforts to keep our registration fees one of the lowest in the conference, we ask our athletes to participate in 2 fundraisers a season and parent volunteers to work in our concession stand for a minimum of one game a season. We expect every family to give back to our program!
